The Courtyard Organisational Strengths Review
In late 2016, Cerys worked with the Courtyard Arts Centre in Hereford, and in particular with their Adult Participation team to look at the services they deliver to adults in a range of community settings. They run a number of impressive arts activities with older people, including those with dementia, and people living in care homes, but these are mainly project funded, and their ongoing sustainability is a challenge.
The report looked at options for mainstreaming this work within the Centre, made suggestions for developing ongoing funding streams and identified some small structural changes within the organisation that might assist this.
Katrin Cross, acting team leader for Adult Participation at the Courtyard said:
“It has been such an interesting and useful process working with you. Thank you so much for working with us and putting the report together.”
The work was funded through the Big Lottery Building Communities programme, and there is a small budget to take some of the recommendations forward.
