Sustainability Guidance for ACEVO

In 2009 Steve and Resources for Change associate Chris Church were commissioned to work on the development of sustainability guidance for ACEVO members.

ACEVO is the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations, and they connect, develop and represent the third sector's leaders. They have over 2000 members and have been providing support and advice to them for over 20 years.

Steve & Chris worked with ACEVO's internal working group, chaired by Mike King, (who was working at Chief Executive at the Environment Council at the time), and the guidance they produced was distrubuted to chief executives across the third sector to encourage them to run their organisations in a more sustainable manner.

Steve and Chris have done a number of pieces of work together over the years and are gaining a growing reputation in the fields of sustainability and community development around stakeholder and community engagement, working at all levels of decision making from grassroots to policy in urban and rural situations.

The outcome from this piece of work resulted in two publications, The Sustainability Challenge: implications for chief executives in the third sector and implementing change that doesn't cost the earth, which are available to download on our Free Resources page
