Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership Scheme Evaluation
In October 2016 we were appointed to undertake a mid-term and final evaluation of this Landscape Partnership Scheme. Upper Nidderdale is a remote upland valley on the eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales in the heart of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty: The four year Landscape Partnership brings together local communities, volunteers, farmers, land managers and a wide range of organisations.
The mid- term review was undertaken between October and Christmas 2016 and was a relatively light-touch process that informs the future activities and gives critical assessment of the progress so far. It provided useful information to help kick start legacy planning, which will be an essential focus during the final stage of the programme.
The final evaluation will start in late 2017 for completion by June 2018. The focus of this final evaluation will involve collection and analysis of evaluation data, development of a report that both celebrates the scheme and provides an ‘honest and open assessment of what happened’ as well as a presentation to the Partnership Board and/or a conference-type event for a broader audience at the end of the scheme.
