Long Forest Action Plan

Keep Wales Tidy and The Woodland Trust have come together in partnership for the Long Forest Project in Wales, which is aimed at encouraging community involvement in the management of hedgerows. They have been successful in winning grant-funding from the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and have been awarded a Stage One pass from Heritage Lottery Fund's Heritage Grants programme.

In May 2015 R4C were commissioned by Keep Wales Tidy to help them and their partners, to prepare the full activity plan for their stage 2 submission to Heritage Lottery Fund for the Long Forest Project.  Over the summer and autumn Irene and the R4C team worked with the partners to pull together the full activity plan for the submission, making sure that all the correct backing evidence was in place and that there were detailed plans for how the project will work.

The plan was finalised spring of 2016, the submission to HLF was successful and the project got going in April 2017.
