Parks are more important than ever
Resources for Change are evaluating the Future Parks Accelerator project underway in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, delivering for Bournemouth Parks Foundation.
The two year project will focus on three parks, one in each town, trialling innovative ways of bringing the parks into fuller and wider use, increasing the health and wellbeing benefits for local communities and visitors. We will support the FPA team to capture and assess the data which will show the outcomes and early impacts which come from the initiative.
The learning from the evaluation will help to guide decision makers in the newly-formed unitary authority for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, and also feed into the national FPA programme. The national programme is being led by the National Trust and Heritage Lottery Fund, with support from the government, and has the potential to greatly influence how we use urban greenspaces in the next ten years.
