The Big Chalk Partnership

The Big Chalk Programme is an initiative developed by a partnership of the calcareous National Landscapes (AONBs and a National Park) from across southern England. In Autumn 2021, with funding provided by Natural England, they engaged Resources for Change to undertake a series of concept development activities including a Landscape Conversation.

The design for this conversation had two interacting elements. A series of workshops across the geography, engaging stakeholders in discussions about natural and human connections in the landscape, and three partnership development workshops. Partnership members considered the output from the stakeholder workshops and, through this, identified the vision, delivery principles and working arrangements for Big Chalk.
