Evaluating resilience development
Flooding is becoming more prevalent in many parts of the UK, with a detrimental effect on communities, households and businesses. The Ox-Cam project (2020-2022) was one of three UK Property Flood Resilience (PFR) Pathfinder projects were funded by Defra/Environment Agency. The aim of the Ox-Cam project was to reduce flood risk by encouraging take-up of flood resilience measures and techniques by residential and commercial property owners and tenants, and by influencing a range of relevant business and public sectors to incorporate property flood resilience as business as usual.
The R4C evaluation involved baseline and final population household surveys, reflective evaluation workshops with the WNC team and all the local and national project partners, surveys at community engagement events, interviews with householders and an interview with a small business.
