Helping Sussex Wildlife Trust show the impact of the Rye Discovery Centre
Resources for Change are the evaluators for the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre project, an ambitious investment in a new visitor centre on the margin of the reserve and an extensive programme of educational and engagement activities.
Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is one of Britain’s most important conservation sites, home to around 4,275 species of plants and animals, including more than 200 rare or endangered birds and mammals. The reserve is nearly 1,000 acres of shingle banks, rich in natural and historical heritage.
We will support the team throughout the evaluation process, providing training and independent validation of the learning the evaluation uncovers, helping Sussex Wildlife Trust to demonstrate the difference made by the visitor centre as they engage more widely and effectively with the large number of visitors the reserve attracts
