Claire’s career has spanned a range of senior leadership positions across the not-for-profit sector, including conservation and environmental, health and social care, higher education and the arts. After ten years in commissioning, planning and performance management in the National Health Service in the North East of England, she transitioned to development and major fundraising at the University of Durham. She relocated to Oxfordshire in 2017 to take up a new challenge – income generation and business development for the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – one of the largest AONBs in the country, picking up postgraduate qualifications in marketing and becoming an accredited fundraiser along the way.
In her spare time she is a keen runner and road cyclist, a mediocre swimmer, and enjoys spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors.
